一、概念和结构

特殊疑问句就是对句中某一部分提出疑问的问句。特殊疑问句是由“疑问代词或疑问副词+一般疑问句”构成的。

二、特殊疑问词

我们学过的疑问词——what(询问事物)， how much(询问价格)， what time(询问时间，尤其是钟点)， what kind of(询问种类)， why(询问原因)， who(询问人)， where(询问地点)等等。

特殊疑问句不能用yes或no来回答，而应根据它所询问的内容直接作答。下面我们一起看一下以特殊疑问词why, what, where开头的特殊疑问句。

◆以what开头的特殊疑问句

what意思是“什么”，是个疑问代词，由它引导的特殊疑问句是用来询问事物的。如：

1. ——What is this? 这是什么？

——Its a key. 这是一把钥匙。

2. ——What kind of movie do you like? 你喜欢哪种类型的电影？

——I like action movies. 我喜欢动作片。

3. ——Whats your favorite subject? 你最喜欢的科目是什么？

——English. 英语。

◆以why开头的特殊疑问句

why的意思是“为什么”，是个疑问副词，由它引导的特殊疑问句是用来询问原因的，其答语是由because开头。如：

1. ——Why do you come so late? 你为什么来这么晚啊？

——Because my bike is broken. 因为我的自行车坏了。

2. ——Why does he like action movies? 他为什么喜欢动作片？

——Because they think theyre exciting. 因为他们认为动作片很刺激。

◆以where开头的特殊疑问句

where的意思是“在哪里”，是个疑问副词，由它引导的特殊疑问句是用来询问地点的。如：

1. ——Where are they? 他们在哪儿？

——Theyre on the playground. 他们在操场上。

2. ——Where is your pen pal from? 你的笔友来自哪里？

——She is from Australia. 她来自澳大利亚。
