Is it a new way to stay cool in summer? Only if you dare (敢于) do it! This is the Ice Bucket Challenge The game started in the US to raise money for ALS ALS is a serious muscle disease (疾病). It can cause death (死亡). In the Ice Bucket Challenge, you can pour (泼) a bucket of ice water over your head, or give $100 to the ALS organization (组织). When you finish it, you can challenge three other people. Youre also welcome to give money even if you finish the challenge. Many famous people such as Microsofts co-founder Bill Gates, NBA star LeBron James and pop singer Justin Bieber have finished the challenge. Maybe you are next!

Can only human beings walk upright (直立地)? Ambam the gorilla (大猩猩) can, too! The 24-year-old gorilla is now famous all around the world for his unusual habit of walking upright. His “walking like a man” pictures online won him millions of (数百万的) fans. Ambam lives at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, the UK. Weighing 220kg, he is Port Lympnes biggest gorilla. In his free time, he really enjoys a good walk, standing tall around the park. Look, how cozy (惬意的) he is!

Why are these girls so happy? Because they found some money in a park and didnt have to return it! Its part of the hidden (隐藏的) cash (现金) game in the US. The game started on May 23. A man in San Francisco put money in many places. He then told people online where to find the money. He hopes that people use it to do good things. Now the game has come to New York. These girls found some of the money in New Yorks Central Park on June 14.

Edward Winslows account details that “they went out and killed five deer” and mentions that “our governor sent four men on fowling” and that “they four, in one day, killed as much fowl as, with a little help beside, served the company almost a week.” While it is possible that turkeys may have been killed, it is more likely that ducks or geese were the primary targets.

In addition, the crops grown by both settler and Native American would have graced that early thanksgiving dinner. Corn, squash, potatoes, yams, even wheat to make bread were, in all probability, shared and enjoyed.

Today there is such a large variety of food to choose from that a Thanksgiving Dinner can feature almost any main course. True, the traditional turkey is still the meat of choice, yet goose, duck, ham, even some of the seas harvests can be used. In place of sweet potatoes, peas, greens, and even more exotic vegetables all make their way to this celebration of Thanksgiving and harvest.

The key to a Thanksgiving menu is to choose foods that will represent the idea of giving thanks for a good year, a harvesting of good fortune, and the sharing of the bounty of your efforts with friends and family.
