Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers has decided to retire after the 2015-16 season. The 37-year-old Bryant made the announcement in a post on The Players'Tribune.

With 17 NBA All-Star selections，an NBA MVP，five NBA championships with the Lakers，two Olympic gold medals，Kobe Bryan tis one of the greatest players in the history of NBA.

Kobe Bryant says he's not one for farewell tours.But by Bryant's own admission，the end of a legendary career could be coming sooner than later.

“You gave a six-year-old boy his Laker dream and I'll always love you for it.But I can't love you obsessively for much longer，”Bryant wrote in a poem titled“Dear Basketball.”“This season is all I have left to give.My heart can take the pounding.My mind can handle the grind but my body know s it's time to say goodbye.And that's OK.I'm ready to let you go.”
