一、教材依据

本节教学设计取材于外研社第四册书第五模块A Trip Along the Three Gorges中的阅读。

二、教材分析

本节内容是以“旅游”为话题,旨在通过有关旅游景点的名胜古迹和风土人情,以及假日旅游、旅行游记等环节的学习,使学生在扩大词汇量、提高英语水平的同时,丰富了地理和旅游知识,开扩了视野,更好地了解世界,培养了学生热爱大自然、造福人类的高尚情操。

三、学情分析

本节的教学对象是高一学生,他们活泼热情,对于旅行他们充满向往。经过高一一年的英语学习,知识储备正在上升的过程,自我表达能力有所提升。兴趣是最好的老师,基于此,本节课需最大发挥学生自主学习能力,让他们有话可说,有料可写。在探究和合作的愉快氛围中完成学习目标。

四、教学目标(三维目标)

1.知识目标

让学生掌握下列单词、短语和句型。

重点单词与短语:cave, peak, plain, plateau, shore, slope, valley, wood, flat, surround, hilly, raft, narrow, distant, exploit, at the edge of, at least, be heavy with

重点句子:(1)We could see the sun setting behind the white pagoda.

(2)Every ..., every stream that joined ..., every ... was heavy with the past.

(3)A distant mountain was a sign in 20-foot characters.

2.技能目标

(1)使学生会运用所学知识描绘旅行路线并简单描述本文提及的三峡旅行图。

(2)培养学生略读、查读的阅读技能,进一步提升学生归纳总结、从文中获取信息、处理信息的能力,从而培养提高学生的阅读理解技巧。

3.情感目标

1(1)了解三峡秀美的地理风景及三峡大坝的建成,感受人类的开创的精神。

(2)让学生在本文的学习中,享受阅读的乐趣,热爱大自然,增长知识。

五、教学重难点

基于以上教材分析,我将文章的重难点分析如下:

1. 训练skimming, scanning , detailed reading及understanding 等阅读技能;

2. 对文章深层次的理解及细节欣赏,掌握地道的英语。

3. 掌握完全倒装句。

4. 深刻理解把握相关词汇的含义,用法等。

5. 培养学生开阔视野,增长知识,热爱大自然。

六、教学方法

通过新课标的学习,学生为主体,教师为主导成为一种教学趋势和主流教学方法。为调动学生动口、动脑、动手,让他们更多地参与教学,根据本课的教学目标、文章特点,基于对学生一定的了解,结合学生的实际及其心理特征,我采用以下方法进行教学:

直观法:充分利用多媒体,引导学生热身并渐入佳境。

速读法:让学生快速阅读,以尽快了解文章大意。

问答法:帮助学生理解文章的细节。

总结归纳法:帮助学生巩固所学知识,延伸积累。

七、教学过程

◆Step l Pre-reading

Ask Ss to answer several questions in order to introduce something about the Three Gorges. Let Ss read the poem together:

水調歌头 游泳

才饮长江水, 又食武昌鱼。

万里长江横渡, 极目楚天舒。

不管风吹浪打, 胜似闲庭信步, 今日得宽余。

子在川上曰:逝者如斯夫!

风樯动, 龟蛇静, 起宏图。

一桥飞架南北, 天堑变通途。

神女应无恙, 当今世界殊。

(1) Who wrote this poem ?

It was written by Mao Zedong on June 1956.

(2) What does it refer to ?

It refers to Mao Zedongs dream “walls of stone to hold back clouds and rain till a smooth lake rises in the narrow gorges.” Now his dream has come true.

(3) How much do you know about the Three Gorges ? S1, S2, S3

规律总结: 以上各句均为形容词活用作动词, 表示“使……”

句型转换:

On the top of the mountain stands a white pagoda.

八、教学反思

这堂课是一节阅读课。课堂氛围比较轻松,学生在自主、合作、探究的气氛中愉快度过。同时,在老师循序渐进地引导下,学生有所谈,有所想,有所思,有所悟。于此同时我有几分感悟和思考。第一,课堂的导入很重要。作为老师的我们一定要在一堂课的前几分钟之内,充分调动学生的感官、紧紧抓住学生的心理和兴趣,使学生活跃起来,快乐学习。这不由得让我想起一句话“兴趣是最好的老师”。第二,教学重难点突出,难点训练及时有效,由易到难,层次分明。所设置的疑问或练习,多数学生都能顺利完成。第三,整个教学准备过程充分体现了教师主导、学生主体的关系。学生积极思考谈论,勇于表达自己的看法和观点。课后讨论中的问题很贴合我们生活本身,学生容易接受,也就有话可说。但是,本堂课也还存在一些不足,需要加以改进:由于本堂课任务多,容量大,导致完成任务时间较紧,某些任务余留的时间比较少,学生不能完全掌握所有的知识。今后会更加地合理安排时间,尽量做到精益求精,让每个学生都充分融入课堂掌握新知识。
