Passengers check in at West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong on September 23， on the day the entire Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link was offi cially launched， after the Hong Kong section of the line went into operation.

Currently， direct rail services are available between Hong Kong and 44 cities on the mainland， including Beijing， Shanghai and Hangzhou.
