询问及描述某人的外貌

（1）询问某人外貌的常用句型：What + do/does + sb + look like？

What does he look like？

他长什么样？

（2）描述某人外貌的常用句型：

① 主语 + be + 形容词（表外貌特征的形容词）

He/She is tall/short/heavy/thin.

他/她长得高/矮/胖/瘦。

② 主语 + have/has + 名词（名词前可有多个形容词修饰）

He/She has long/short/curly/straight hair.

他/她有一头长/短/卷/直发。

③ 主语 + be of + 形容词 + height（指个头）

He/She is of medium height.

他/她中等身高。

多个形容词的排列顺序

多个形容词修饰同一个名词时，它们的位置基本顺序为：限定词（冠词、指示代词、物主代词、数词等）+ 表示观点的描述性形容词 + 大小、长短、高低、形状 + 年龄、新旧 + 颜色 + 国籍、地区 + 物质材料 + 中心词。

each  adj. & pron.  每个，各自

（1）adj.“各自的;每个的”，后接单数名词。

There are many trees on each side of the river.

河流两岸有许多树。

（2）pron.“各自;每个”，直接作主语或宾语。each单独作主语或each修饰的单数名词作主语时，谓语动词為单数形式;each of + 名词复数作主语时，后面的谓语动词用单数，因为each才是主语。

Each student should study hard.

每个学生都应该刻苦学习。

3. Another woman says， “He is tall and thin...”

另一位女士说：“他又高又瘦……”

another  adj. & pron.“另一;又一”，表示（三者或以上中）另外任意一个。作形容词时，后跟单数名词。

I dont like this pen. Please give me another one.

我不喜欢这支钢笔，请另外拿一支给我。

4. I like him because he is really cool and fun...

我喜欢他，因为他非常酷，又有趣……

because  conj.“因为”，表直接原因，通常用于回答why的提问，一般放在主句之后。

—Why do you like this book？

—Because its interesting.

因为它很有趣。

注意：because与so不能同时出现在一个句子中。

因为我每天都跑步，所以我很强壮。
