OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST INTO BADMINTON HALL OF FAME

Chinese badminton player and Olympic gold medalist, Zhang Ning, has been officially inducted into the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Hall of Fame during a virtual ceremony hosted by the sports world governing body on July 16.

The brilliant all-round player was victorious at nearly every major event on the circuit, including the BWF World Championships in 2003, and guided China to team triumphs at the Uber Cup (2004, 2006) and Sudirman Cup (2005, 2007). She also won the womens singles Olympic gold medals consecutively in 2004 and 2008.

Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng, two more Chinese Olympic gold medalists, also received the honor. In a video message to the ceremony, BWF President Poul-Erik Hoyer Larsen said, “Their performances are an illustration of the excellence that the human spirit can aspire to. They have contributed immensely to badminton, and Im sure they will continue to inspire players of the future.”

E-Hospital Supervision

Guangming Daily June 15

Internet hospitals in China are being rapidly developed as an innovative approach to providing health services. They greatly improve the efficiency of seeing a doctor, as people can make an appointment without leaving home. The COVID-19 epidemic has triggered the development of e-hospitals that promote outpatient service delivery to the public via digital technologies.

According to the 2021 China E-Hospital Development Report jointly released by the National Telemedicine and Connected Health Center and Cn-healthcare.com, China had more than 1,000 Internet hospitals by the end of 2020, most of which are built and operated by public hospitals. However, the report also pointed out that nearly 90 percent of these e-hospitals failed to operate effectively.

Judging by the reality at home and abroad, the change in medical treatment and treatment behavior involves many factors such as professionalism, ethics, and cultural habits.

Medical care is a special industry directly related to the life and health of the public, which inevitably requires all-round supervision. Additionally, both the doctors e-service ability and the patients lifestyles require coaching.
