1931年，中国工农红军解放了柳溪，7岁的潘冬子和乡亲们无不欢欣鼓舞。3年后，红军主力被迫撤离柳溪，潘冬子的父亲随部队转移。临行前，他给潘冬子留下了一枚闪闪的红星。在红星的照耀下，潘冬子勇敢地与敌人做斗争。当红军游击队准备开赴前线时，潘冬子戴上那枚闪闪的红星，加入了红军队伍，踏上了新征途。一起来欣赏江苏省泰兴市张桥小学的同学们带来的精彩表演吧！

Act1：

There was the sound of gunfire in the distance.

Dongzi：Chun Yazi！

Chun：Yes！

Dongzi：Listen， its getting closer. Maybe they will be here tonight.

Chun：Wonderful！ It will be fine when the Red Army comes. Our families dont need to pay for the debt any longer.

Dongzi：The Red Army is coming. The time of“old dog”Hu Hansan is gone and our good life is coming.

Act2：

Pan Dongzi was hung on the tree by Hu Hansan.

Hu：Come on！ Tell me， where is your dad？

Dongzi：Humph！

Hu：Beat him to death！

Mother：Dongzi！

Dongzi：Mum！

Mother：Dongzi！

Hu：So you want to revolt（反抗）even before the Red Army get here！ Let me tell you， as long as Im here， I am the owner（主人）！ Beat him！

Act3：

After a sudden gunshot， a group of Red Army rushed over under the command of Pan Xingyi. Pan Xingyi was Dongzis father.

Dongzi：Dad， after you leave， I will try my best to grow up. When I grow up， I will take on such a red star and be one of the Red Army soldiers like you.

Father：Did you hear？ There is a new member of Red Army here.

Mother：Great！ Youre so ambitious.

Father：Good boy， dad is leaving. This red star is for you. When you have difficulties and miss the Red Army， just look at it. It will motivate（激勵）you to become a real Red Army soldier.

Act4：

Hu：Hey everybody， you will never imagine that I will come back！ This is still my world. Who took my things in the past，send them back！ Who ate my food， spit it out！ Who are in my debt， repay the debt at once！

Hus men：Master， Pan Xingyi ran away！

Hu：What？ Pan Xingyi ran away！ He cant run far away， his son is still here. It cant be worse. His wife must repay！ No one can run away！

Act5：

Dongzi：Mum， just only two of us left？

Mother：No， there are so many people together with us.

Dongzi：Where are they？

Mother：Our Party is still here. Our Red Army will come back.

Dongzi：Mum， when will dad come back？

Mother：When it comes to spring， when the azaleas（杜鹃花）are in blossom， your dad will return.

In order to cooperate with the Red Guards， Dongzis motherdied heroically. Dongzi  didnt cry. He stepped forward firmly.

Act6：

Pan Dongzi disguised（ 假扮） himself to be anapprentice（学徒）.But one day，he ran into Hu Hansan.HuHansans wolf eyes looked at Dongzi suspiciously.

Hu：Is your mother at home？

Dongzi：No.

Hu：Dead？

Dongzi：No， shes alive.

Hu：What about your father？

Dongzi：Hes at home.

Hu：What does he do？

Dongzi：A butcher.

Hu：Whats your name？

Dongzi：Guo Zhenshan.

Hu：No， its not true. You are Pan Dongzi. Your father is Pan Xingyi，and your mother was burned to death， right？

With the help of others， Pan Dongzi stood the questioning of HuHansan. In the middle of the night， Dongzi carried a kerosene pot， andpoured kerosene on Hu Hansans bed.

Hu：You？

Dongzi：Yes， its me， Pan Dongzi. I am a soldier of the Red Army！At that moment， the sparkling red star shined on his chest.
