Zoological Research call for papers of Cavefish Special Issue

Throughout history,cavefish have been of passionate interest to many people.Today,scientists have found cavefish useful and fascinating subjects for scientific study.Cavefish are an emerging model system for solving many different biological topics and for human disease research.

We are pleased to announce that Zoological Research is requesting submissions for a special issue on cavefish,which is planned for the second half of 2022.The special issue will be guest edited by Prof.William R.Jeffery,Prof.Li Ma,and Prof.Yahui Zhao,and will include original research or review articles on all cavefish species and research topics.Detailed instructions about the special issue are available online at https://www.zoores.ac.cn/news/news_en/9f1b83bc-6979-4fd8-8a10-8a4fae402e06_en.htm.

Published bimonthly,Zoological Research is an interdisciplinary,peer-reviewed,open-access journal publishing original articles,review articles,research reports,letters to the editor,editorials and commentaries focusing on Animal Diversity and Evolution,Conservation and Utilization of Animal Resources,and Primates and Animal Models.

The Cavefish Special Issue is seeking original reviews or research as articles or letters concerning the scientific study of cavefish.Potential topics include,but not limited to,the following:

·Developmental biology

·Evolutionary developmental biology

·Systems biology

·Neurobiology
