Love， Wealth and Success

A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said， “I dont think I know you， but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.”

一个女人从家里出来，看到三位白胡子的老人坐在她的前院，她不认识他们。她说：“我想我不认识你们，不过你们一定饿了，请进来吃点东西吧。”

“Is the man of the house home？” they asked.

“男主人在家吗？”三个老人问道。

“No，” she said. “Hes out.”

“不，”她说，“他出去了。”

“Then we cannot come in，” they replied.   “那么我们不能进去。”三个老人回答道。

In the evening when her husband came home， she told him what had happened.“Go tell them I am home and invite them in，” he said.

傍晚，女人的丈夫回来了，她告诉丈夫发生的事情。“去告诉他们我在家里，请他们进来。”丈夫说道。

The woman went out and invited the men in. “We do not go into a house together，” they replied. “Why is that？” she wanted to know. One of the old men explained， “His name is Wealth，” he said pointing to one of his friends， and said pointing to another one， “He is Success，

and I am Love. Now you shall go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”

女人出去请他们进来。“我们不能一起进来。”他们说。“为什么呢？”女人想知道原因。其中一个老人解释道：“他的名字叫‘财富，”他指着其中一个朋友，然后又指着另外一个朋友说：“他的名字叫‘成功，我的名字叫‘爱。现在你可以进去和你丈夫讨论一下，你们想让我们中的哪位进去呢？”

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “How nice！” he said， “Since that is the case， let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth！”

女人进去告诉她的丈夫，丈夫很高兴，“太好了！”他说道，“既然那样，让我们邀请‘财富吧。让他进来，让我们财富满屋吧！”

His wife disagreed. “My dear， why dont we invite Success？” Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion， “Would it not be better to invite Love？

Our home will then be filled with love！”

他的妻子不同意，“亲爱的，我们为什么不邀请‘成功呢？”他们的儿媳妇在房子的另一个角落听到他们的谈话，跳起来发表自己的意见：“邀请‘爱不是更好吗？那样我们的家就充满了爱！”

“Let us follow our daughter-in-laws advice，” said the husband to his wife， “Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”

“让我们听儿媳妇的吧，”丈夫对妻子说，“出去请‘爱进来做我们的客人吧。”

The woman went out and asked the three old men， “Which one of you is Love？ Please

come in and be our guest.” Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him.

女人出去问三位老人：“您们三位哪个是‘爱呀？请进来做我们的客人吧。”名为“爱”的老人站起来朝房子走去，另外两个也站起来跟了进去。

Surprised， the lady asked Wealth and Success， “I only invited Love， why are you

coming in？” The old men replied together， “If you had invited Wealth or Success， the other two of us would have stayed out， but since you invited Love， wherever he goes， we go with him. Wherever there is Love， there is also Wealth and Success！”

女人很惊讶，她问“财富”和“成功”：“我只邀请了‘爱，您们为什么进来呢？”老人异口同声地回答：“如果你邀请了‘财富或‘成功，我们中的另外两个将会呆在外面，但是因为你邀请了‘爱，无论他走到哪里，我们都跟着他。哪里有爱，哪里就有财富和成

功。”
