教学目标:学生能识记、拼读wh辅音字母组合,能分音节拼读单词,由易到难,在绕口令、故事阅读中提高wh字母组合的复现率,开阔学生视野,培养学生积极的情感态度。

选取内容:以PEP五年级下册第六单元为蓝本,适当补充了其他版本中含wh辅音字母组合的单词。

设计依据及建议:本设计依据短课时、高频率、多接触之英语教学原则而做短课时设计。由于wh字母组合涉及到where,what,when,who,why,which等高频单词,因此即使wh发音并不难掌握,也依然用六个短课时进行设计。希望通过大量阅读,使学生真正掌握并能正确使用。

短课时教学设计一

1.T:Today we are going to learn how to spell “wh”.You know thisword“white”.So“wh”makes one sound/w/.

2.Let’s try to read the words in the form.Let’s read like this:wh-ite-white,wh-eatwheat.wh-am-wham,wh-iffwhiff,wh-en-when,wh-erewhere,wh-y-why,wh-irf-whirf.

3.Now let’s think some ways to spell and remember the words in the form.

(1)ite-kite-white-a white kite.

(2)eat-wheat-plant wheat and eat meat.

(3)am-wham-I met a man and wham,bam,I was in love.

(4)Look at this girl.The girl is whirling.

T:From the four examples,what have you learned?

4.We can also make sentences with these words.Look!When is the girl flying a white kite/whirling?Why is the girl flying a white kite/whirling?Where is the girl flying a white kite/whirling?Can you say something like me?Next class let’s share your idea.

1.T:First let’s share your ideas about the words.

2.T:Boys and girls,in our daily life,we often use who,what,where,when and why to start a dialogue.So if you don’t know the meaning,you will not communicate with others.Now look at the screen.

Today we have a friend.He is Tommy.This is his life.Let’s read.

What do you often do?Go to school.

Wheredoyouoftengo?School,school,school.

When do you often go?At seven,at seven.

Who do you often go with?With my friend.

Why do you often go?Go to study.

3.Tommy told us what he often did.In his daily life,we know:what,where,when,who and why.Please read the words and know their meaning in each group.

That is Tommy’s life.What about your life?Please imitate Tommy’s life,write something about your life.Next class show it.

1.T:Who wants to show your life?What do you often do?Where do you often go?Let some students show.

2.Let’s go on learning.Here is a chant.Let’s chant together.

White,white,white,

White whale,white whale,

3.T:Look,what,whale,white,they all have “wh”.Now read again.Pay attention to“what,white,whale”.

4.Here is another chant.Thistime you can read by yourselves.

What,what,what,

White mouse,white mouse,

Twowhitemicewhisper,whisper.

5.Choose any chantyou like,prepare it,and next class,show your chant.

T:First show your chant.

1.Here is a wheel.Wh-eelwheel,let’s spell together.Look,a mouse and a wheel.

In the picture,you can know:wheel,whole,why and when.Now remember them and try to write them without looking at them.

2.Now let’s read the pictures again.Then three of you a group.Act the story.

3.Here is a little passage,please prepare it and next class show your reading.

4.Here is a tongue twister.You can read after this class.Next class,show it.

The witch in white plants wheat.

Which witch can get the watch?

The witch in white can get the watch.

1.First ask some students to show the tongue twister.Then say it together.

2.In this class,we will read another story.This is a white witch.She istalking with a white mouse.Can the white mouse go anywhere?Read and try to tell.

3.Now I am the witch,you are the little white mouse.Then exchange.After that,practice in pairs and show.

4.Here is a little poem about the witch.Can you read it?Try it.

Thewitch rodeabroom everywhere.

She liked to see whales at the zoo.

She liked to see wheat in the field.

Herbroom wheelscould take her anywhere.

If you can’t read it smoothly,please practice and show next class.

1.First show the poem to the students.Ask them if they can read it.If they can not read it,the teacher will lead them to read.

2.T:Why can the witch go anywhere?Yes.She has a broom.And she also hasa parrot.Please read and try to answer:Whatcan the parrot say?

The witch has a parrot.

The parrot can say a whole lots of words.

He can say:what,when,where and why.

He can’tsay which and whatever.

If you ask him whose parrot he is.He always answers:what,when,where and why.

3.Let’s read and try to recite this poem.

4.Now can you ask something with what,when,where and why?Share your questions with your partner.
