such与so表示“如此”“这样”的意思，出现的频率极高。你会正确使用such与so吗？今天我们就来学一学。

一、such的主要结构：

1. such+a/an+adj.+可数名词单数

如：I have never watched such an exciting match.

我从来没有看过这么令人激动的比赛。

2. such+adj.+可数名词复数

如：She walked in with such beautiful flowers in her hands.

她双手拿着如此美丽的花走进来了。

3. such+adj.+不可数名词

如：We have to stay at home in such hot weather.

天气这么热，我们不得不待在家里。

有时候，上述结构中不出现形容词。

如：They do not have enough money for such an operation.

他们没有足够的钱做这样的手术。

二、so的主要結构：

1. so+adj./adv.

如：Your school is so beautiful.

你们的学校如此漂亮。

He always does his homework so carefully.

他做作业总是这么认真。

2. so+adj.+a/an+可数名词单数

如：My cousin Tom is so strong a boy.

我的表弟汤姆是如此强壮的一个男孩。

3. so+many/few+可数名词复数

如：Betty is very excited to see so many presents on her desk.

贝蒂看到桌上这么多的礼物，非常激动。

4. so+much/little+不可数名词

这里little的意思是“少量的”。

如：Tony is unhappy because there is so little milk in the bottle.

因为瓶子里的牛奶太少了，托尼不开心。

此外，little如果译为“小的”意思，不可以用于此结构，要用such来修饰。

如：Look！ The lion is chasing such little deer.

看！这头狮子正在追捕这么小的鹿。

三、so， such常与that从句连用，译为“如此……以致于……”。

如：Nick is so generous that everyone likes him.

尼克如此的慷慨大方以致于每个人都喜欢他。

It is such an interesting film that I want to see it again.
