谈谈写好英文求助信的技巧

一.任务呈现

假如你叫李辉，当前在一所美国学校学习暑期课程，在学习和生活上遇到了困难，希望能得到该校辅导中心的帮助。按照校方要求，你须书面预约。请写一封求助信，要点包括本人简介、求助内容及约定时间等，并将你的联系方式告诉对方，你的联系方式是：Email ： lihui@163.com;Phone：787587484）。

要求：1.符合求助信的基本格式;2.可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯;3.词数100左右。

二.任务分析

1.该书面表达任务是一封求助信，应该注意书信的正确格式。

2.求助信的语气应当委婉、恳切;应写清楚求助的原因、理由，合理安排好求助信的结构。

3.恰当使用一些表示求助的句型，如 ： with the hopethat you will be kind to help me，l'm writing to ask a favorto...， l am sorry that I have to ask a favor of you等。

1.错误评析

①该句中a Chinese student 和动词take是主动关系，表示正在进行，故应当用现在分词短语修饰名词，所以应当将 take改成 taking。

②该处 the courses 是动词 found 的宾语，划线的词作宾语补足语，修饰 the course，意为“令人感兴趣的”，所以应当将 interested改写成 interesting。

2.亮点展示

①学生严格按照题目要求完成了该书面表达任务。首段作自我介绍并提出求助的愿望;主体段写求助的原因和内容;第三段告知对方的联系方式;最后再次表达希望。全文层次清晰，条理分明。

②在遣词造句上，能合理使用分词结构、宾语从句等较复杂句型;交替使用主动语态、被动语态;使用了一般现在时、现在进行时、一般过去时等多种时态，显示了作者驾驭英语的能力。

五、英文求助信的写作指导

1.准确把握时态

英文求助信一般要表述遇到的或存在的困难，在叙述遇到的困难时用一般过去时;在描述当前困难时，用一般现在时;在说明得到帮助后的打算时用一般将来时。写作时应当准确把握时态，确保语言的准确性。

2.熟悉常用句型

写作英文求助信可以适当选用常见句型。如在说明遇到的困难时，可用 I have met much difficulty in ...句型;向对方求助时可以使用诸如 In the mean⁃ while / At the same time， I beg you to ... so that...或 Would you like to ... so that...？等句型;渴望得到对方帮助时可用 It is certain that with your help I can make rap⁃ id progress 句型。这些表达语气委婉，符合求助信的语言特点。

3.恰当使用高级表达和过渡性词汇

在英文求助信中恰当使用高级词汇和高级句型，将有效增强文章的得分档次。求助信中常用的表示列举的连接词有 first， besides， what’s more等;在请求对方提供一系列帮助时可用in the meanwhile， at the same time， in addition， also 等过渡性词汇。合理使用连接词，能有效提高文章的逻辑性，从而提高得分档次。
