青島市第十三次党代会报告提出，实现建设新时代社会主义现代化国际大都市的总目标，重点要打造“六个城市”，是贯彻落实习近平总书记重要指示要求的新使命、新内涵、新路径。

作为青岛建设新时代社会主义现代化国际大都市的具体支撑，打造“六个城市”——现代产业先行城市、引领型现代海洋城市、国际化创新型城市、国际门户枢纽城市、宜居宜业宜游高品质湾区城市、现代化治理样板城市，描摹出了一个立体而丰盈的青岛未来城市形象，诠释着这座城市肩负时代使命、勇立潮头、勇往直前的精神品格。

如今，青岛坚持规划引领，细化思路举措，推动“六个城市”建设不断取得新成效。人们相信，经过不懈努力，青岛将在全省勇当龙头、在全国争先进位、在全球彰显特色，充分展现“活力海洋之都、精彩宜人之城”的时代风采，这颗黄海明珠将更加光彩夺目！
