教学过程
Step 1. Pre-reading
1.Warming-up.
课前用chant 做自我介绍,和学生拉近距离,并提问“What’s my name? What’s my hobbies?”引发学生猜测,集中学生注意力,为引出课题做好铺垫。
T:What’s my name?
Ss: Jessie.
T:What’re my hobbies?
Ss: Reading stories.
T: Do you like reading stories?
Ss: Yes.
T: OK. Today we are going to enjoy a new story. And I like making friends. Do you want to be my friends?
Ss: Yes.
T: Thank you, you are so kind.
设计意图:教师利用chant 进行自我介绍,引出学习主题,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣,引入课题。
2.Introduce a new friend.
教师利用简短的谜语引出新朋友Bunny,再简单介绍Bunny 喜欢吃萝卜,她种的萝卜大丰收了。
T: I also have an animal friend, who is he? Let’s guess.Long long ears, red red eyes, a short short tail.
Ss: Rabbit.
T:Yes, it’s a rabbit. And her name is Bunny. Let’s say hello to Bunny.
Ss: Hello, Bunny.
T:Bunny likes turnips very much. Let’s read together!Turnip.
设计意图:用学生已掌握的语言知识和生活经验猜测出主人公是只小兔子。再通过教师的描述引出故事,使学生对故事情境有一个整体的感知。
Step 2. While-reading
1.Know more about the back ground.
教师利用多媒体展示Bunny看到一个超级大的萝卜很开心,于是想邀请自己的好友来聚餐,顺势展示她的微信群聊,引出我们的故事主线——拔萝卜。
T: Bunny plants a lot of turnips, look! So many big turnips! Bunny is very happy,listen!
多媒体出示句子:Wow, it’s so big. 播放句子录音,教师边做动作边教学生读一遍。
T: Yes, so many big turnips,he wants to invite his friends for dinner!
之后教师切换PPT 展示兔子给她的大萝卜拍照,邀请朋友来吃饭。
2.Listen, imitate and predict.
播放下一张PPT,呈现兔子的心理活动,教师戴上兔子头饰,边做动作边读句子:Let me pull some turnips. One,two,three,pull!教师边做动作边表演,并教读pull 和此句。
T:Can Bunny pull it up?
Ss:Yes./No.
T:Let’s go and see.
教师播放视频,验证学生猜测的答案。
T:Oh no, Bunny can’t pull it up. Why can’t Bunny pull it up?
Ss:...
设计意图:教师将课本故事添加了起因,让学生在故事中感受到朋友之间的相处方式——同甘共苦。再通过猜测Bunny 拔不出萝卜的原因,巩固之前所学词汇及描述物体外形的句型,并在故事情节中理解too 和so 的差别。
3.Let’s think.
T:What will Bunny do?
Ss:...
T:Let’s go and see.
教师播放视频,验证学生猜测的答案。
T:Oh no, Bunny can’t pull it up. Why can’t Bunny pull it up?
Ss:...
预设学生会回答,直接往后教学;如若不会回答,教师做动作,看向远方。
T: Look, my friends are coming. Maybe they can help me.
这时利用PPT 出示句子:Come on, friends. Please help me. 之后消掉Friends,提问:Who is coming? 教师手上拿出动物的贴画,提示学生说出monkey、cat、dog、Zip 中的任意一个。
T:Come on, Monkey, please help me.
紧接着教师拿出猴子的头饰。
T: Who wants to be the monkey?
选出领读的学生,引导其余学生说出句子。
T:Come on, Monkey. Please help me.
教师走到学生旁边,两人一起走上讲台,共同说出句子。
T/S: We’re coming.
教师和邀请到的学生一起走上讲台,伴随着歌曲一起拔萝卜。
T: Oh, we still can’t pull it up. Let’s try again.
T:(对全班学生说)Come on,friends, stand up, please help me, let’s work together! Thank you, friends.
第二遍播放音乐全班一起唱《拔萝卜》歌曲,伴随着歌曲一起拔萝卜。
设计意图:通过猜测故事走向,引导学生结合生活实际,想一想遇到困难可以如何解决。通过一系列活动引导学生明白遇到困难时,可以寻求帮助。同时要有一颗感恩的心,当朋友主动帮助自己时,要懂得表达感谢。
4.Ask for help.
T:It’s too big, we can’t pull it up. Who can help us?
Ss: I’m... I’m tall and strong... Let me help you.
T:Come on,friends, please help us! Who else can help?
Ss: I’m... I’m tall and strong... Let me help you.
T: Thank you, let’s work together!
T: You are so friendly,listen, who is coming?(PPT 播放Zoom 的声音)Who is he?
Ss: Zoom.
T:Look, so many friends are coming, let’s work together!One,two, three, pull!
PPT 播放萝卜拔出来了的视频。
T: Wow, Hooray!
Ss: Wow, Hooray!
T: Work together, we can do it!Finally, we pull it up!
设计意图:引导学生懂得在朋友需要帮助的时候,也要主动去帮忙,并让学生明白,团结力量大。
Step 3. Post-reading
1.Enjoy and imitate the story.
(1)教师播放故事完整视频,学生欣赏。
T: It’s a very interesting story. Let’s enjoy it together.
(2)学生模仿视频中的语音语调,并将其表演出来。
T:Now, this time, let’s listen and imitate. Please stand up.
设计意图:利用多媒体的直观性、趣味性呈现人物对话,使学生感知真实的故事情境。朗读可以增强语感,能够让学生感悟英语的习惯表达,是将其所学的功能用语内化的过程。通过分析小兔子朋友所做所为,引导学生懂得团结合作的重要性。
2.Act the story.
(1)学生小组表演故事。
T: Work in groups, try to act the story out. I will give you 4 minutes.
(2)学生小组汇报表演。
T: Now it’s your show time.
设计意图:在小组合作表演的探究中,引导小组合理分工,互相交流、共同提高,充分突出学生的主体地位,激发学生用所学语言表演的欲望,大胆创新和实践,提高口头表达能力,勇于展示自我。
3.Let’s think.
(1)学生根据教师的半命题自由回答。
T:After the story, what do you think of Bunny’s friends?
(2)学生以小组为单位完成故事,教师在学生表演结束后展示一个小组的学习单。
T:I have a new story for you, please take out your worksheet, work together with your partner and finish the story.
(3)结合两个故事中成功的案例,让学生总结出成功的原因。
T:Why can they do it?
Ss: Because they work together.
T:Yes. If we can work together, we can do anything.Look!
(播放拔河视频。)
T:We are strong when we work together.
设计意图:引导学生思考,感知故事内涵,培养学生的发散思维。注重评价方式和激励措施,搭建学生学习成果展示平台,让其体验成就感,进一步激发学生学习英语的兴趣,增强学习自信心。
