This article is a part of“the Introduction”to The Social Transformation of American Medicine （1982）by Paul Starr,professor of sociology at Yale university.The introduction part contains the theoretical basis and provides a theoretical analysis framework of the book.From the perspective of social history of medicine,on the basis of medical sociology and sociology of power,this article describes the historical evolution process of American medical professional authority and professional domination pattern for the first time in a comprehensive,systematic,incisive,profound and historic way.And this evolution process is outlined in different dimensions：from the point of view of authority and legitimacy；the relationships between the cultural authority and professional control,dependence and legitimacy；the formation of the American medical authority；from medical authorities to economic power；the doctor strategic position in the modern health care system and defending the independent and other dimensions.Analyzing the evolution process can contribute to the correct understanding of direction and laws of Chinese social structure transformation,to deepening reform of the medical and health system,to the construction of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship,to pushing forward the construction of“Healthy China”.It offers some reference and practical meaning to developing the practice system of modern health and mental health social work with Chinese characteristics.And it helps to construct the Chinese version of medical sociology theory and professional social service governance model.

The development of child welfare in China was promoted by the Ministry of Social Affairs in the 1940s.According to the historical materials of Yanching University,Jinling University,Jinling Women's liberal arts College and Lingnan University,child welfare talents were cultivated with the characteristics of multi-disciplinary cooperation,emphasizing practical experience and distinctive characteristic teachers in the colleges and universities.The universities had set up scholarship systems in order to encourage students to choose children's welfare major.Postgraduate education was also developed for those who had graduated from universities and was still interested in children's welfare undertakings.

（8）Research on Influence Factors Model of Sexually Abused Children’s Life Journey：An Exploratory Research Based on Grounded Theory

Based on the theory of life journey,this study conducts in-depth interviews with 39 victims experienced sexual abuse in childhood,utilizing research methods of the grounded theory to build a conceptual theoretical model.The results show that children’s characters,children’s living environment and characters of children sexual abuse are antecedent variables of children sexual abuse events；children sexual abuse as trauma events in children’s life journey influenced them profoundly and deeply.The influences could last for a long time,changed children’s life journey.The research also proved the moderating effects of social reaction to children sexual abuse and children’s protecting factors on the influences of children sexual abuse.
